Nokia is not dead instead it is making a comeback in Android Market with its Android phones which will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Nokia, the first name that comes in our minds when we talk of mobile phones. I still remember Nokia’s durable phones with long battery life and after that Microsoft and Nokia becomes partners and introduced their Lumia range. However this move was not able to restore Nokia position in the market and people started forgetting Nokia. It is completely taken over by Microsoft, the big giant tech company.

Nokia fans will be glad to know that Nokia is coming back. According to Mike Wang, president of the joint management team in China Nokia is back with a bang! Yes Nokia is coming with at least Android phones later this year.

According to a report by Phandroid Wang has confirmed that they will be coming with three or four Nokia-branded Android phones. He further said that the company is planning to launch them by the end of this year. However, the real launch may happen in 2017.

He also said that these two devices will be the chief devices and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat with improved Nokia Z launcher. According to some reports the specifications of these phones is as follows. It comes with 5.2 and 5.5 inch display, unbelievable 22-megapixel camera, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. That’s not all but it will be water resistant and dust resistant too.


Further, HMD which consist of ex-Nokia and ex-Microsoft employees confirmed at the time of acquisition that they plans to design Nokia-branded Android phones and tablets.

However, HMD will be responsible for the designing of the phones and Foxconn’s subsidiary FIH Mobile will be manufacturing and distributing these phones.

Company gave a statement in May “HMD is founded to provide an independent home for of Nokia-branded feature phones, smartphones and tablets. HMD’s new smartphone and tablet will be based on Android and world’s iconic mobile brand.

Moreover, HMD hired Rovio’s ex-CEO Pekka Rantala who had worked with Nokia 1994 to 2011.He is been hired as a chief market officer.

In an interview Rantala said that he loves Nokia, he loves what it stands for and he would love to see it rise again.

Further, there are no confirmation regarding how these phones will look like and what they will be packed with. However, the one thing we are sure of Nokia is all set for the competition which it will receive from the market big giants. It will be interesting to see that what Nokia will deliver to defeat its rivals Apple and Samsung.
